COMSOL, Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer specializing in CAD and Finite Element Mesh Generation to join its Boston office. We are seeking an individual with proven industrial experience in CAD model generation and finite element mesh creation. Deep familiarity with solid modeling in one or several commercial packages is required, as well as an understanding of how solid modeling and meshing are related. Any experience with scripting languages such as MATLAB is highly desirable.
Primary Responsibilities
- Interact with COMSOL customers in government, industry, and academia.
- Support the usage of COMSOL Multiphysics by addressing technical concerns, providing guidance, advice, and modeling assistance.
- Develop models that show features and capabilities of COMSOL Multiphysics.
- Develop and teach training classes.
- Give COMSOL product demonstrations at seminars, workshops, conferences, and meetings with customers.
- Work collaboratively with developers to implement new features and participate in the overall product development of COMSOL Multiphysics.

Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in engineering.
- Demonstrated industry experience with CAD modeling using any of AutoCAD, Pro/E, Inventor, SolidWorks, SpaceClaim, CATIA, NX or other major CAD package.
- Demonstrated industry experience generating meshes for simulation purposes.
- 5%-10% travel per month.
